GUIDELINES FOR SCHEDULING
AN EXAM IN YOUR REGION |
The certification exam in Hyperbaric Technology is offered in conjunction with all of the UHMS Chapter and Annual Scientific meetings and many other seminars throughout the country and abroad. If, however, you are not able to attend any of those an exam me be scheduled in your area. The guidelines are as follows: |

- There should be at least 3 people pre-registered to challenge the exam.
- The proctor must be a professional educator not in the diving/hyperbaric field. The prospective proctor must provide a cv/resume.
- The exam should be given in a neutral setting such as a community college, university, vocational school or the education department of a medical facility away from the hyperbaric department.
- There is a 90-day waiting period from the time that a minimum of 3 people are pre-registered until the actual scheduled date. This will allow time to publish the date and location so that other people in your area will have the opportunity to challenge the exam.
